Let’s go Lupe!!! As a fellow writer I only dislike songs for two reasons. Reason 1: The song sucks. It lacks true emotional content and or lacks a certain display of writing skill. Reason 2: Plain old jealously. And Mr. Lupe Fiasco actually made a song I’m jealous of. This dude actually placed a spotlight on hip-hop’s dirty secret. Hip-hop serves as a major detriment to the mindset of its most loyal fan base, the highly impressionable black youth. But he doesn’t take the predictable route of blaming the artist, he takes it a step further by illustrating the many failures of responsibility leading to children being miseducated and quite frankly confused. Never in my life would I think would love a song that used bitch so much, but this song is awesome. Congrats to Lupe for being a voice of responsibility in an industry that refuses to accept any.
